The year 2025 was a time of growth, new challenges, and joyful moments for Flamingos—our online Slovak language school. The numbers we collected are not just statistics; they reflect the trust, perseverance, and enthusiasm of our students and teachers.

Slovak without borders
In 2025, Slovak was truly learned all over the world. Students joined us from many countries, confirming that high-quality online education has no borders. Flamingos became a meeting place for different cultures united by one shared goal—to learn Slovak.
Bonus lessons we’ll remember
We supported active engagement through three bonus lessons focused on broadening horizons, connecting learning with real life, and experiential learning:
- Cyril and Methodius – A Story That Connects Us: their legacy in Slovak history and culture.
- Guest session with Dr. Michaela Musilová, known as the “Slovak Woman from Mars,” sharing her work in science and research in extreme environments—an inspiring lesson on perseverance and ambition.
- Fairy-tale interactive lesson (Little Red Riding Hood): a short play performed together, followed by engaging tasks.
Our students also took part in nationwide competitions and achieved excellent results—another reminder that learning can be a joy, not just a duty.
Innovation for better learning experience
2025 was also a year of improvements: we launched a new website, a members’ area, and a new e-shop to give students and parents greater clarity, easier access to materials, and a smoother overall experience.
